Description: You are invited to register for our upcoming training session of CONA on January 24, 2022. This session is organized and delivered by FiberGuide under license from Optical Technology Training (OTT) who develop and certify the course.
CONA and the more advanced follow-up course, CONE (Certified Optical Network Engineer), are the only vendor neutral Physical Layer optical network training programs in the industry. CONA target audience includes planners, designers, operation professionals, project managers and technicians who wish to transition into these roles. CONA is also required if you wish to enroll in the advanced CONE training coming up in March 2022.
In CONA, you will learn how to design, plan, and implement cost-effective optical communications networks. This introductory course to optical networking focuses on fiber optic networks that use either single channel, or multiple channels per fiber using CWDM or DWDM technology, providing typically up to 10 or 25Gb/s per channel and up to 80 channels per fiber pair. These may include metropolitan networks, core networks, mobile backhaul, 5G transport, Data Centre Interconnects (DCIs), National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), terrestrial Satcom links to and from Satellite earth stations, dark fiber links or terrestrial long-haul systems that also use fiber amplifiers and dispersion compensating modules.
