Group Decision making process (Operationalize the Mission)
As a group, discuss and select a decision making process to enable the group fulfill its mission and vision.
The group shall consider the following:
- define the roles needed by the group:
- SIGHT-Ottawa chair
- governance lead, product development lead and project management lead
- project managers
- product development resources, subject matter expert(s)
- developer
- Define roles and steps during gathering of ideas;
- Review ideas by local committee;
- Feasibility of ideas in the targeted time frame;
- Feasibility of ideas for long term impact;
- Recommendation by local committee on idea(s) to focus- on;
- Provide feedback on ideas not retained;
- Product/process specification elaboration;
- Project planning:
- Identification of:
- a prime to track initiative, a “project manager”;
- skillsets available from volunteer pool;
- time availability of volunteers;
- Integrator, someone to work with the different volunteers to align the components
- Identification of:
- Funding requirements
- Regulatory requirements
